Create the customer experience
Decide which choices, text areas and image areas belong to this product. Keep the experience focused on the options shoppers should use.

Link choices to what changes
Define Options → Rules → Actions. One choice can update multiple visual targets, show or hide a component, move to another product view or enable a personalization area.

Preview and publish
Test the experience in storefront preview. Review the setup, then publish a version when it is ready for shoppers.

Let the customer customize
Shoppers explore the 3D product, select options and, when enabled, place text or images within the areas you defined.

Add the configured product to Shopify cart/order
The configured item moves through Shopify cart and order with its selected design information linked to the published configuration.

Use the resulting customization information for production
Use the resulting choices, design state, artwork references and relevant production outputs to prepare the personalized order. Available outputs depend on setup and released capabilities.
